Listener requests
External DJs is for presenters who broadcast with their own software — BUTT, Mixxx, or anything else that speaks the Icecast source protocol. Use it for their credentials, live session visibility and emergency kick actions.
The accounts on this page are not Live Studio seats. They are a username and password for a piece of broadcast software, with no login and no dashboard. A presenter who goes on air from the browser needs a seat under Live Studio DJs instead.
Listener requests moved to their own Song Requests section, under Schedule.
Create DJ access
Add a DJ, choose the scope, and copy the generated password immediately. The password is shown once. Give each person their own login so live activity can be audited.
Monitor live sessions
The live banner shows who is connected. If a presenter forgets to disconnect, use the kick action to return the station to automation.
Return to automation
After a live show, confirm that the current schedule has a playable event queued. If automation does not resume as expected, check the Schedule event and assigned playlist or clock.
